Call for Abstracts

The Local Organizing Committee invites interested authors to submit abstracts for consideration as part of the program, either as oral presentations or posters.
Authors must follow the guidelines for abstract submission, that must be completed online via the Abstract Submission Portal on this website.

Abstract Submission Deadline
Given the numerous requests received for an extension of the deadline for abstract submission, the original deadline has been extended to the 7th of January 2026 at 00:00 (midnight, Central European Time).

Important Dates
30 September 2025: Call for Abstracts Opens
07 January 2026: Deadline for Abstracts Submission
February 2026: Announcement of Abstract Selections
15 March 2026: End of Early Bird Registration
8 June 2026: Deadline for Congress Registration

General Conditions and Information
• Each presenting author is allowed to submit a maximum of one (1) abstract.
• All abstracts must be submitted exclusively via the Abstract Submission Portal accessible on this page.
• Abstracts sent by email will not be accepted.
• Submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the author to present the work in person at the ISBE 2026, if the abstract is accepted.
• Failure to register to the Congress will result in the abstract being withdrawn from the scientific program.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission
Use the provided text fields on the Abstract Submission Portal.
During submission, authors will need to provide:

  • Name and affiliation of the presenting author. (The submitting author must also be the presenting author, but not necessarily the first author).
  • Names and affiliation of any co-authors
  • Type of contribution (Oral or Poster, for each specify if applying for travel grant)
  • A selected a topic
  • Abstract title
  • Abstract text (typed or copied-and-pasted)
  • The abstract must not exceed 2000 characters (including spaces)

Authors will receive an email confirmation of their abstract submission immediately after submission. If no confirmation is received within 24 hours, please check your spam folder. If still not received, please contact: info@isbe2026.com
All correspondence regarding the abstract will be sent to the submitting author’s e-mail address. Please ensure that the email address used matches the one used for Congress Registration.

Withdrawal
To withdraw a submitted abstract, notify us as soon as possible, latest by 15.01.2026 at info@isbe2026.com
